· Surrey Police have launched a Divisional Independent Advisory Group. Members of the local Jewish community are invited to be on it (26th April)
· Guildford Jewish Community organised a number of Passover activities including a special Cheder session.
· Aryeh Nusbacher, Silke Goldberg and Alexander Goldberg spoke at the Pre-Pesach Conference for Small Communities on 3rd April in Bristol. The JMC, LSJS and UJIA are organising the conference. Aryeh spoke on The Logistics of Exodus, Silke on Miriam’s role in Pesach and Alex on The Pesach Tradition and Human Rights.
· Alex Goldberg was special guest on the Sunday Breakfast programme on BBC Southern Counties Radio where he spoke about the University of Surrey’s recent multifaith study visit to Auschwitz. |

The Diary of Anne Frank was shown at the Electric Theare |

· This month was Yom HaShoah. This year is the 60th Anniversary of the liberation of the camps. Over this year the Guildford Jewish Community is building up an online Memor Project. (Click her for details)
· The Merrow Amateur dramatic society had a successful run of the Diary of Anne Frank Production at Electric Theatre - 11-14 May 2005 (Click here) · The community organised a visit to the historic Jewish East End and Bevis Marks Synagogue. The tour was organised by David Griffiths-Smith who has promised similar events in the future.
· The Merrow Dramatic Theatre completed a short run of the Diary of Anne Frank, a play based on the diary. The play was shown at Guildford’s Electric Theatre. The Society explained that they had chosen the play to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the camps and the death of Anne Frank.
